DESCRIPTION:Join us as Tina Green\, CEO/founder of  BridgingHeart presents! \n\n\n\nInspired by her journey through the foster care system\, Katina\n\nGreen established Bridging Heart\, a 501 c(3) non-profit organization\,\n\nto help young adults newly emancipated from the foster care system-\n\ngrow\, thrive and find their footing before entering the "real world."\n\n\n\nMore specifically\, the organization provides shelter\, access to\n\nresources including: medical care\, counseling\, education and career\n\nassistance\; and a safe space for young adults to learn how to make\n\nhealthy choices\, and just breathe while figuring out their next steps.\n\n"Figuring it out shouldn't have to be a hardship or a struggle.\n\nAnd unfortunately\, that's what most kids emancipated from the foster\n\ncare system face."\n\n\n\nThis is the motivating force behind Bridging Heart\, and why Katina\n\ndecided to establish Bridging Hearts. For her\, being emancipated from\n\nfoster care\, also meant falling prey to sex trafficking\, something a\n\nlarge percentage of girls fall victim to upon leaving the foster care\n\nsystem\, because\, like Katina\, they have no real direction or guidance\,\n\nand are often left vulnerable and more susceptible to the whims of\n\nothers who don't have their best interest at heart.
